Work With Us
There are many opportunities for you to be able to join us. You can find out about them here. Please contact us if you have any further questions.

Work With Us
Our business is growing, it really is. We are looking for kind and happy workers to help people enjoy a great life at home. If you are someone who cares for others, who like to make people smile, and who is keen to make a difference we would love to chat with you.
If you have cared for your Granny, supported a neighbour, looked after children, and never thought about working in a caring role – now is the time to start. All or one of these lived experiences could make you a fabulous carer.
“I love working with the elderly and through providing social support services I get to take them not just for day-to-day appointments but to go for an outing that they really enjoy.” Deidre, Social Support Contractor
It’s worth chatting to us as we run things slightly differently here at Country Home Services. We don’t employ people to deliver services. Our workers run their own business. We call them contractors. Confused, concerned, sounds something different from normal. Well, throughout our 30+ year history, close to 2000 contractors have worked with us. People like you. We mean that, people like you. If you haven’t already, establishing your own business is really easy and we can help you with that.
The great thing about being a contractor is you can choose when, where and who you want to work with. You can set your own hours, your own rates and you can deliver the type of work that you enjoy doing the most.
Our contractors love doing what they do. They tell us that the best thing about working with us is that they are able to develop enduring relationships with their clients. In some cases, over decades.
“It is their appreciation for what you do for them and knowing that I can help them with the little things that make such a difference in their life.” Leonie, on why she loves contracting.
We are looking for gardeners, cleaners, people who enjoy shopping, and for Certificate III or IV graduates to help a person shower and get ready for the day. We are looking for people who have received their booster vaccination (COVID-19), who are keen to participate in training, who like working as a member of a team, and who know how to use smart phone.
Call us to find out more about contracting with Country Home Services or contact us through the Contact Us form on this page and someone will be in touch with you within 24 hours.
Volunteer With Us
We are extremely fortunate to have an amazing group of volunteers that form our Board of Directors and Home Services Advisory Group. From time to time, we are looking for new Board Directors, particularly those with finance, clinical, and quality skills and experience. Previous Board experience is handy but it is not a pre-requisite. So if you are just starting your governance journey, chat with us.
Our Home Services Advisory Group is a client group, designed to provide advice on operational matters and external processes that could impact older people, for example, aged care reform. This group largely communicates online as it consists of clients located across our service area. All positions are currently filled on this group but if you are a client and keen to be involved in this group, chat with us.
From time to time, we participate in events designed to promote aged care services. Promotions include expos, regional shows, school visits and job fairs. If you are a client of Country Home Services, and you are keen to participate in promotions please contact us.

Partner With Us
Our Mission is to improve the lives of Country People. We are determined to do this through support, connection, inclusion, and advocacy. We know that we can’t do this alone so we are looking to partner with individuals, organisations, and businesses who like us want to make a positive difference in their community. Here is how you can be involved.
Doing Good 4 SA Community Grants Program
If you know of or are part of a group that could benefit from our Doing Good 4 SA Community Grants Program, we want to hear from you. This small grants program is designed to support groups to do what they do best – provide a safe and social place for older people to attend. Each month, we aim to distribute $5,000 worth of funds across our community. To date, we have funded equipment for a Men’s Shed, Tidy Town Group, Progress Association, Friendship Circle, and Exercise Groups and materials for Craft and Hobby groups. We have even funded ramps to make facilities safer for people to attend. The application form is one page, the process is easy and you don’t need previous experience in securing a grant. There is no group that is worthier than the one you are involved in, so apply now.
Call us to find out more about the Doing Good 4 SA Community Grants Program or contact us through the Contact Us form on this page and someone will be in touch with you within 24 hours.
Ageing Better Survey
If you know of ways that can improve the experiences involved in growing older in your community, we are keen to hear from you. Our Ageing Better Survey is designed to identify unmet needs, analyse why the unmet need exists, and then develop solutions to meet that need. It’s a simple three-step process and we want to hear from those who have the most relevant knowledge about aging in the community, someone like you. You don’t have to be an older person to participate in this survey, you just need to be someone who wants to share their observation. We know that surveys can come and go, people with the best intentions make large promises to fix decades-old issues – our approach is different. We don’t believe in the single cure-all. We believe that partnerships can deliver the best outcomes.
Call us to find out more about the Ageing Better Survey or contact us through the Contact Us form on this page and someone will be in touch with you within 24 hours.
