Pt Vincent Fellowship for the web

Recently we visited the beautiful Port Vincent Community on the Yorke Peninsula to give one of our Valley to Coast presentations to the Port Vincent Fellowship. These presentations allow people to gain a better understanding about Aged Care services and how we can support them at home. As with every presentation, our presenter opens the floor to questions and on this day we received questions that related to self-funded retirees and their access to services, cost for services, the impact of My Aged Care and its effectiveness, and our ability to provide the services they need in their rural communities. These questions bought about a fabulous discussion that gave the attendees much insight and knowledge about what we can offer to support them.

If you would like answers to these same questions or perhaps you have questions of your own then contact us on 1300 773 202. Also if you are part of a community group within our region that would like a presentation then we would love to come out and visit you. Call us to make a time today or visit our Presentations Page for more information.

Ian and Ashley 1At Country Home Services, one of the most important things to us is reconnecting people back to what they love doing in life. Some times due illness or perhaps for some reason we have lost our confidence, we may decide to pull away from the activities we love. It is here that Country Home Services can really help. Our staff are passionate about finding a way to reconnect people to what they love doing, and when we are doing what we love, life begins to be a little more joyful.

The care at home system is moving towards a more consumer-driven, market-based and nationally consistent system. Important reforms in home care were introduced in February 2017 to give consumers more choice in selecting a home care provider. There is now also a nationally consistent process for assigning home care packages to consumers.
Before making decisions on future reform, the Government wants to hear further from the sector on what you believe is the best way forward. They are seeking your views on how future reform can best support older Australians to remain living at home and in their communities. Barb Marion Bay talk Connecting with our country communities is at the heart of our organisation and one of the ways we do this is through providing presentations and information to community groups through our “Valley to Coast" project. A project that gives us the opportunity to build on existing community connections and create new ones through sharing our knowledge as a service provider out into the community.Last week we had the pleasure of talking to Marion Bay Residents on the Yorke Peninsula at a combined community presentation that saw us join forces with the local CFS, Community Transport services, SA Ambulance, SA Police and the local Community Health. This combined Community presentation gave the local community a real show of support and some much needed information about the type of services and assistance that they have access to. It was a fantastic afternoon, full of inforamtion and all very much welcomed by the Marion Bay residents.

Our aim over the next year is to provide many more presentations wheither its joining forces with other organisations or coming to your individual community group where we can share the latest information in aged care and more importantly to be there to answer any questions people may have. If you are part of a community organisation and would like us to come out to talk to your group then call us on 1300 773 202

This week some of our Clare staff was featured in the Plains Producer Newspaper, our article is below.

Your Journey is important to us.

Life changes as we get older however it doesn’t mean you need to give up the things you love doing. Living an independent life, in the home you love and still doing all the activities that make you smile, is important to who you are and therefore important to us.

At Country Home services we understand the value of living your life your way regardless of any changes that have occurred in your life. We support our customers through funded and private services in a way that complements your independence and keeps you connected to the community you love.

Our Advisors place you in the centre of any decision making because they want to understand what will support you the most. You may just need a little bit of cleaning or home maintenance in order to keep things in balance. Or you may be looking for a package of services to support your lifestyle or to get you back on your feet because having a health concern in any form doesn’t mean things have to stand still. So no matter what you need to keep you moving forward on your journey, give us a call on 1300 773 202, and we can find a solution that keeps you smiling.

Lauren and Paula Kadina expoA successful day was had by all, at Kadina's first Seniors Expo. Held at the Kadina Town Hall on the 17th of October, the hall was full with organisations that represent home care services across the Yorke Peninsula, along with other allied health and support organisations.

We were represented by our staff members Lauren and Paula who felt the expo was a success and are looking forward to attending next year's expo. It is through events such us these that we are able to meet and connect with our community.
