Margaret_Hier.jpgOur client Margaret is a lovely lady who has amazing support from her worker, Debra. Margaret has been with us for 18 months now and had requested our services as she needed assistance with house cleaning due to her constant pain as a result of her fibromyalgia.

Like so many of our workers, Debra is more than just a cleaner. Margaret shared with us that Debra works hard and is an “absolute gem of a cleaner” and at the end of the shift, she still makes time to sit down to have lunch and a friendly conversation with Margaret.

Margaret said, “You can’t keep going without some sort of food so I like to provide her with some lunch and I understand the hard work that she does as I have done that job in the past.”

Retiring board Members 2021

At Country Home Services we are so fortunate to have some very talented and wise members on our Board. The three board members photographed below, with our current chairperson Margaret Zweck (far right,) are no exception. This past week, they retired from our board but we couldn't let them go without sharing that we are so appreciative of their time and their input over the years.
 
From the left in the photo below, we thank
- Geoff Spence, who had supported us as our deputy Chairperson and with us on our board for 13 years.
- Leith Jenkins, who has been inspiring us to attend more country shows in our community, had been with us for 7 years.
- And finally Margaret Manuel who had supported us on the board for 15 years, with 5 of those years as Chairperson.
 
We are grateful to have you all steer us in the right direction. Thank you and know that we wish you all the very best in your future endeavors.

We are thrilled to announce that our CEO, Ashley, has been selected as a member of the Inaugural Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce Mid North. We are proud and excited to develop and implement strategies that will benefit our community. Congratulations Ashley.

The Mid North region has announced a new Taskforce to develop and deliver solutions to support local employment and to help resolve current and emerging workforce challenges in the region.

 
We are currently seeking additional volunteer Board Members.
Our board is comprised of enthusiastic volunteers with complementary experiences from a diverse range of industries. The time commitment is low with board meetings every second month rotating between Nuriootpa, Clare and Balaklava. 
If you have an interest in contributing to the regional aged care sector in SA, have some relevant business, not-for-profit or government skills and experience, then please get in touch. Previous aged care experience is not necessary.
We’re also interested in client experience on our board, so if you or a family member are a current client of aged care services then we’d love to hear from you.
