Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
The CHSP provides small amounts of entry-level support to assist older people. Services may be short-term, intermittent or ongoing.
This program places a strong focus on activities that support independence and social connection.
The Commonwealth Home Support Program provides services that give a little bit of extra assistance around the home, supporting you to remain independent and to enjoy life your way.
It enables you to get basic support with services such as house cleaning, social support, and personal care. There are also home maintenance services available that can help with tasks around the home so that you can feel safe in your environment.

The Commonwealth Home Support Program is a government subsidised program for eligible persons who are over 65 or over 50 if you are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.

Am I eligible
to receive services?
To find out if you are eligible you need to register with My Aged Care by calling 1800 200 422 or visit their webpage at https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/
From here, the My Aged Care contact centre may refer you for a home support assessment, where a Regional Assessment Service (RAS) assessor will contact you.
What next?
Once approved for CHSP, you can then contact us to discuss the services you need.

Assistance to keep your home and garden safe. This could include gutter cleaning, yard clean ups, mowing your lawns, changing smoke alarm batteries or replacing light bulbs.
Personal Care
There may be times you need assistance with activities such as showering or dressing.
Cleaning
Whether you need help with house cleaning, hanging out washing, bed making, mopping, and vacuuming floors, we’ll work alongside you to get the tasks done.
Social Support
Need assistance with grocery shopping, bill paying, getting to appointments, or an outing to support your wellbeing? We aim to support your experience.
